The Kalloni Environmental Information Center (Kalloni EIC) performs under the auspices of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the North Aegean Prefecture.
It is located in the middle of the Kalloni Gulf area, the village of Skala Kallonis, and was first established in 2010. Apart from events and presentations at its premises, the Kalloni EIC organizes a series of outdoor activities and programs for schools, and the general public (kids and adults). Our aim is to publicize and raise awareness about the rich and sensitive nature of the Kalloni Gulf and Lesvos island. Finally, the Kalloni EIC monitors the condition of habitats and birds in the Kalloni Gulf Natura 2000 protected area.
